(working for the Lord at home) As a stay at home mom, my faith is challenged each day. God is holding me accountable for honoring my husband and my children by providing a godly home for them. This includes cooking, cleaning, washing, homework duty, referee, and all the other "fun stuff" moms just love to do! Although my husband is the head of our household, I have to keep life running smoothly when he is not at home. There are times that I do not respond with a humble heart to the Lord. I find myself overwhelmed, tired and frustrated with all the tasks that He wants me to accomplish. It is then that God will show me His faithfulness with glimpses of the godly adults my children will be one day. It is at that moment that I am once again reminded of my ultimate privilege of being a mother. Lisa
(encouraging believers at work) I have never had courage like I do now. I am praying for my co-workers, sharing the Discipleship Resources from our WorkLife Ministry and even had a conversation about Christ with my boss who is our company CEO. I am so happy and full of joy. Before this kind of help this area of my life was mostly untouched by God's presence. Marilyn
(spreading the gospel in a work crisis) I received a panic phone call from Kim, whose husband had just died of a heart attack. She called me because I had prayed with them as a client! Kim began asking a lot of questions about God and prayer. She was not sure God wanted anything to do with her. I told her I worshiped a Big God who could forgive anyone. Kim prayed to accept Christ! Colleen, Eden Prairie, MN
(setting the right example at work) I am an Assistant Superintendent for a large school district where I supervise a few thousand students and over 500 employees. The WorkLife Ministry is helping me experience God's power to treat the people I encounter at work with grace and the heart of Christ. Randy, Toledo, OH
(serving with excellence) I am so excited about this WorkLife ministry at our church. Being in the training industry, sometimes I can be a little overly critical about communication pieces or training tools and I can't tell you how impressed I am.
(meeting a critical need in people's lives) Within the last week we had prayer concerns about workplace issues come up in two small groups I am involved in---obviously this ministry is very much needed. I can't wait to share our WorkLife Ministry with my group and my friends that do not attend our church.
To our WorkLife ministry, thanks for all your hard work! I know this ministry is making a lot of difference in many people's lives (believers and non-believers in the workplace). Jennifer Anderson, Project Manager
